Thomas Paine
Many years ago I received a tear-off calendar with nature pictures and quotes. The one that stuck with me was the quote above by Thomas Paine. I think of it often. Walking outside, hiking, exploring, and immersing yourself in nature is the best thing you can do for yourself. You're able to think clearly, stress levels drop, happiness rises, and speaking for myself, I'm able to function better. Outside the confines of walls, away from society, I listen to the wind and trees as the leaves rustle, birds chirp all around, I see and take notice of everything around me and I'm reminded to take things slow and just be. Take all that to the wilderness and you truly feel free. No internet, no bad news, just ultimate freedom from distractions where the real you is able to see.
Part of my mission for A little Sense of Adventure is to inspire people to travel outside their comfort zone, and to trust the process along the way. You will change for the better and it's incredible. The other part of my mission is to share my travels through breathtaking pictures, writings and essays, and through my filmmaking that I hope to create and share for the rest of my life. I thank you all for being here, I am truly humbled and I hope that you stick around. I invite you all to live vicariously through me, and in the meantime travel, explore, and create your own stories; self-discovery awaits you.
Your friend and guide,
Jason Conyers
